Noblesville expects high traffic for its newest tourist attraction

First, Noblesville re-invented its alleys downtown, making them cozy enclaves where people can hang out for a cup of coffee or even a formal dinner.

Now, its seeking to make its newest bridge a destination.

The city plans to plant flowers and erect benches and pergolas over the Logan Street bridge over the White River. The so-called “Bridge of Flowers” would encourage visitors to enjoy the view from the span over the White River.

“Since the bridge was first planned we wanted to ‘activate’ it as a place where people can spend time,” said city engineer Alison Krupski.

The bridge, in fact, was designed with that in mind, she said.
